“Dear Mr. President, Are You Mindful Enough?”
Mr.
President,
If voices are
heard, why are our voices silenced then? If voices are supposed to be heard,
why don’t you listen to ours then? I am not mad, but I am indeed sad on what’s
happening to our country. These past days, I have been writing the issues that
the country is facing, and I was jotting them down on my own novels. Maybe one
day, I can publish them all and people on the new generation will realize that
a teen like me has her eyes open about the truth. I was hoping that one day all
of us who are trying to share our thoughts can be seen as people who can help
for mostly see that our generation is a bad one. Not every single one of us is
that type of child or teen that is disappointing or such. Most of us aren’t
just seen.
Of course, there’s disappointment
in our hearts. I can remember how they loved you for you were so feisty and
different. You were on the top and your words felt like we will matter the most
now, and there will be change because you always say that “change is coming”. I
will still wait for years before I can vote. I didn’t vote you because I have
no rights way back then for I was still young. And up to now, they are still
saying that I am still young. Maybe in my age, they can say that I am young,
but I will never let them say that my mind is still young for this topic. I
would still speak, and right now I will tell you that the words you were giving
us aren’t well. They affect us, and the curses you utter make us see that maybe
it would have been better if we chose someone who knows not to turn the
government about all mouth and no trousers. Is it really the government or is
it its people?
Your words, your
actions... everything...will everything soon fall or has everything already
fell apart and broke? There were so many lives that have passed away, and there
were so many lives brought in pain and shame. There were so many tears that
reached the ground which was flooded by blood. Maybe there were bad, but what
about the innocent ones? And why are the wrong ones having the power? Does the
badge and gun that they have authorized them to end someone’s life? And the
people who work hardest, why don’t they get the pay that they deserve? Is this
now all about power? When will the country get ever back to being normal? I
know it’s hard, but we do need the type of you that you promised us you’d be.
Be mindful of your words and actions. Be mindful of everything.
Sincerely yours,
A young voice who cares
I completely agree with you! I feel really bad for the citizens who have died. They could have prevented all of this if they had dealt with the issues properly.
ReplyDeleteI appreciate you reading my blog! Thank you for leaving a comment as well. That is indeed sad, and up to now I know that a lot of families are crying for justice. Their hearts are still bleeding from the wounds that death has given them. Let's all hope that the next leader will finally listen t our voices, and will choose not to let blood drown our beloved country. Thank you once again, Gwyneth! Stay safe.
